Current under construction just a block away from the Kentucky International Convention Center is the Omni Louisville Hotel. AES is proud to have huge role in this luxury landmark property’s construction.
As Omni’s prime electrical partner, we expect to run over 2 million feet of wire and a half million feet of conduit within the enormous 30-story, 853,000 square-foot space. Power for this vast network of rooms, parking and retail space will be provided by five underground dedicated vaults from LG&E.
On schedule to open in spring of 2018, the Omni Louisville Hotel will provide a mixed use environment for residents and visitors to the downtown area. It will house a total of 612 hotel rooms, 225 apartments, several restaurants, an urban food market, a speakeasy with bowling alley, lobby art gallery, rooftop bar, on-site spa, fitness center, pool and 70,000 sq. ft. of meeting and conference center space. The expansive building with its intersecting towers will be a welcome addition to the Louisville skyline. It will also provide gorgeous downtown views from within its rooms and rooftop areas.
AES is excited to be a part of this extensive build. We’re working with Omni’s construction manager, Brasfield & Gorrie, to ensure the site will have ample power and meet LEED silver certification requirements.
