Owner: WKU Completion: October 2009 Scope: The five-story, $24 million facility houses classrooms, lecture rooms, instructional and research labs for chemistry, biology and computer science departments. Snell Hall consists of day lighting controls, motion sensors throughout the facility and energy-efficient lighting. New switch gear, fire alarm and security systems were installed, and AES backed up the facility with parallel 300 KW generators with one control center. Value: $3,000,000.00

Library Senator McConnell Expansion
Owner: University of Louisville Completion: September 2009 Scope: The University of Louisville was awarded the pristine opportunity to archive Sen. Mitch McConnell’s paper and photo collection, and AES was honored to help with the development. The expansion includes climate-controlled archival space accessible to researchers and students, storyboards and kiosks, a reading room and a small movie theater with extensive dimming controls. Additional fire alarm and security systems were installed and phased into the existing systems. The lighting system within the theater and archival space is comprised of superior equipment.
