As the weather warms up, many Kentuckians head outdoors to soak up the sun and work in the garden. We’ve been doing a little “green planting” of our own — placing new Electrical Vehicle (EV) charging stations around Louisville for our client, LG&E. These charging stations will be soaking up the sun, too, but they’ll be converting it into clean, solar electrical power.
The EV ARC™ (Electric Vehicle Autonomous Renewable Charger) stations are manufactured by Envision Solar. Each one fits in a standard parking space, and can generate enough electricity to fully charge one vehicle daily. Their solar panels maximize energy by tracking the sun over the course of the day.
